3 ingredients only homemade granola

There was a time when I was obsessed with this dish. I used to have it every single day for breakfast. The only thing I would change was the fresh fruit I topped it with.

This granola is extremely easy to make, it takes less than 5 min to prep and another 25 min for roasting. It is made from 3 ingredients only. It is sweet and crunchy. Contains all 3 macros, and when combined Greek yogurt (naturally high in protein) it makes a perfect high protein breakfast to get you energized for the day.

This version is a lower calorie version than other granola recipes, due to the short ingredients list. There is no added dried fruit (which is high in sugar), no additional nuts besides for the almonds and no added fats. Granola is a healthy natural ingredients dish that can easily be extremely high in calories (remember clean eating does not equal fat loss). So, if fat loss is your goal this option is great. But feel free to upgrade. This is only the basic recipe.

It is a great option for a quick light breakfast. It does not take a lot of time to prep, the granola you make in advance as a batch. All you must do is add yogurt and fresh fruit.

Ingredients for 18 servings of 1/3 cup

450gr / 14oz rolled oats

200gr / 7oz Almonds copped

½ - ¼ cup pure maple syrup depending on your preference of sweet - Macros are calculated with ½ cup

Method

Preheat the oven on 150 Celsius / 300 Fahrenheit degrees.

In a bowl mix all ingredients together.

Line a baking tray with a parchment sheet. Flat lay the granola. Bake for 25 min. mix every 5-10 minutes.

Set aside to cool completely.

Store in an air tight container.


Serve with Greek yogurt and fresh fruit, enjoy:)
